PCB decided to host an exhibition match on Feb 05 before PSL 2023 starts. Peshawar Zalmi will be playing against Quetta Gladiators in the exhibition match at Bugti stadium, Quetta. As most of the players were playing in foreign cricket leagues, so it created uncertainty related to the final squad players for the PSL 8 exhibition match. But PCB directed the official players drafted by Zalmi and Gladiators to come back to Pakistan by Feb 02.
Final Squad Players for The PSL 8 Exhibition
Additionally, most of the players have already arrived at the venue of the PSL 8 exhibition match including Mohammad Nawaz and Iftikhar Ahmed. Nawaz and Iftikhar were playing in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) just two days ago. But they have come back to play the exhibition match in Quetta.
Meanwhile, the players who were not playing in any other leagues or series have arrived at Quetta. However, there are some foreign players who have not yet reached Quetta but they have left for Pakistan and will arrive soon.

Peshawar Zalmi players including Rovman Powell and Mujeeb Ur Rahaman will not be taking part in this exhibition match. On the other hand, Jason Roy, Odean Smith, and Wanindu Hasaranga will also not play in this match.
These players were partially unavailable as officially reported by PCB. Therefore, they will only play some part in PSL 2023. But replacement players will play the PSL 2023 matches when the pre-mentioned players are not available. So, the replacement players will join their respective teams in the PSL 8 exhibition match.
