Match 22: Quetta Gladiators makes a comeback in PSL 2023 by getting victorious against Karachi Kings. Quetta Gladiators won the toss and opted to chase. Additionally, Karachi Kings were not good in the batting and only gave a 165-run target to Quetta Gladiators to chase.
Additionally, Quetta Gladiators’ batting was also not so good except Martin Guptill. He was the “Man of the Match” in the match 22 of Quetta Gladiator vs Karachi Kings. Furthermore, Guptill was the reason who made Quetta Gladiators victorious by finishing in the last over.

Karachi Kings came to bat first and lost a big wicket on the first ball. Matthew Wade went back to the dugout as Naseem dismisses him with great intent. But Adam Rossington had a wonderful night. Karachi Kings got to make 53 runs at the end of the powerplay despite losing a wicket. From the other end, Tayyab Tahir looked good for a couple of shots.
Tayyab was hitting the boundaries and taking the runs for his team. But then he tried to go big but the ball went straight to the fielder. Aimal Khan is the bowler from Quetta Gladiators who took the wicket of Tayyab. However, the runs kept coming in as he was the only one who was taking the charge.
After a little bit, Qasim Akram played a half swing and the ball was caught by Naseem Shah. Aimal was again successful in picking up another wicket. Shoaib Malik was a bit rusty as he played spin-bowlers. But he did not get a hold of it and got out as Umar Akmal took an easy catch.
Imad Wasim showed his form with the bat as he has been doing on short balls. He took it out on the youngster Aimal Khan. That’s how Karachi Kings extracted 50 from his partnership with Rossington. But Martin Guptill kept hitting the essential runs needed by QG to win this match. He played a wonderful inning of 86 runs off 56 balls. His inning included 9 good fours and 4 massive sixes.
Iftikhar Ahmed is facing real issues since the start of HBL PSL 2023. He was performing very well in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). But here in his native cricket, he is failing to show some good batting. Najeebullah Zadran, who played impressively in QG’s previous match against Islamabad United.
