Multan Sultans got off to a decent start with Mohammad Rizwan and Usman Khan opening up impressively with a 41-run partnership from 3.3 overs. However, Usman Khan got dismissed by David Wiese, and the momentum shifted towards Lahore Qalandars. Shaheen was struggling with the ball, but Wiese took charge and brought sanity back into the bowling.

Afterward, it was the Rilee Russouw show, as he scored another HBL PSL 50 from just 30 balls. But then Rashid Khan struck and sent Russouw to the dugout, bringing an end to his impressive innings. Keiron Pollard came in place of Russouw and started nicely, but Rizwan kept making crucial runs.

Abbas Afridi then pushed the accelerator in the second last over and put Multan Sultans in a match-winning position with back-to-back boundaries, despite not being known for his batting expertise. Khushdil Shah also tried to take the win, but Lahore Qalandars’ Zaman Khan perfectly defended the target.
In the end, Lahore Qalandars emerged victorious, winning the PSL 8 final by just one run. It was an amazing final, with both teams displaying great cricketing skills and fighting till the very end.
