PCB announced PSL 2023 schedule after a press conference on Friday, Feb 20, 2023. In the press conference, PCB Chairman Najam Sethi told us about the official PSL 2023 schedule and the opening ceremony of Pakistan Super League 8. The high anticipated PSL 2023 will start on Feb 13 at Multan Cricket Stadium. However, Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore will host the final.

Multan and Karachi will host the thirteen PSL group matches alternatively. However, Rawalpindi will host eleven matches. On the other hand, Lahore will host the last nine matches of PSL 8 including the playoffs and the final. The PSL 8 schedule is as follows:

During the press conference, he shared his thoughts regarding the PSL 8 opening and lots of other things which he quoted as follows:
“I have been getting lots of messages regarding opening ceremony in Multan. I personally think that Multan is perfect for PSL 2023 opening ceremony. Multan is one of the main cultural and traditional cities of Pakistan. And Multan Sultans represent this city. Sultans were victorious in one PSL tournament. Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Lahore have already hosted PSL opening ceremonies. Now, it’s the turn of Multan to host this prestigious event”
“Multan cricket fan-base is getting bigger as the time passes. Hosting a PSL opening ceremony will increase their ecxitement related to cricket and PSL as well. So, I think it is a great decision”
