PSL 2023: Quetta Gladiators Wnn Against Karachi Kings – Details
Karachi Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first. Quetta Gladiators’ Martin Guptill played an aggressive inning resulting in a target of 167 runs. Though Karachi Kings’ s skipper Imad Wasim knocked two batsmen out in the very first over.
Such impressive bowling by the Karachi Kings saved them a lot of runs. However, they still were not able to do anything as Martin Guptill took the charge. Martin Guptill and Iftikhar Ahmed played a well-balanced partnership of 69 runs from 51 balls.

Similarly, Karachi Kings started off very slowly as they lost two early wickets in the powerplay. Despite Shoaib Malik’s and Irfan Khan Niazi’s aggressive batting, Karachi Kings still lost the match. Because Quetta Gladiators’ bowlers like Naseem Shah and Mohammad Hasnain defended the target very well.
Additionally, the batting performances from both sides were not satisfactory. Only two or three of them contributed to scoring against each other. For example. only Martin Guptill and Iftikhar Ahmed played a good inning for Quetta Gladiators. Similarly, Shoaib Malik and Irfan Khan Niazi did impressive batting.
However, in a T20 format match, it is ok if only two to three players give their best batting. But when it comes to the strength of the player, it raises questions. Such as why Sarfaraz is not performing in the official matches of PSL 8.
