Except for the slow batting of Shan Masood, the start was not satisfactory. After his dismissal, things went touching the sky for Multan Sultans as Rilee Russouw took charge. Russouw thrashed Peshawar Zalmi bowlers and scored 75 runs off 36 balls which is quite impressive.
In addition, the skipper of Multan Sultans Mohammad Rizwan also played an impressive inning of 66 runs from 42 balls. Afterward, David Miller carried the pace of the game and made 23 runs from 14 balls being not out at the end.
Similarly, the big man, Kieron Pollard also went blazing on the Peshawar Zalmi bowlers in the last two overs of Multan Sultans’ batting. Bowling: Ihsanullah bowled spectacularly as he dismissed Babar Azam as his first wicket. He took three wickets in match 5 (MSvsPZ) of the PSL 8. Moreover, Ihsanullah becomes the leading wicket-taker with 10 wickets in the ongoing PSL 2023. In the same manner, Usama Mir and Abbas Afridi also bowled really well.
Both of them took two wickets each by their fast pacing. However, bowling from the West Indian all-rounder was also good as he took the place of Akeal Hosein. The decision by the skipper Mohammad Rizwan was on point.
