LQvsQG:
Sensational bowling by Quetta Gladiators by dismissing the batting lineup of Lahore Qalandars. Mohammad Nawaz, Naveen Ul Haq, Mohammad Hafeez, and Umaid Asif dismantled Lahore Qalandars’ batting. In addition, the fielding from the Quetta Gladiators was also great in a matter of running out.
Quetta Gladiators were fortunate enough to take two run-outs in this match. Moreover, the opening batsmen of Qalandars did not perform at all. However, Shaheen surprisingly came in 6th position to bat for his team. It is quite a bit of shock and surprise at the same time. Because we have never seen Shaheen come in the middle-order batting position.
Shaheen said after winning the toss that he is trying new things in this season of the Pakistan Super League. Maybe he is preparing himself to play as a batter too in the upcoming matches of the PSL 8. So there is a little chance that we may see Shaheen batting early rather than among the tailenders.

Naveen Ul Haq’s Spell
Getting back to the Gladiators’ who performed superbly well against the Qalandars tonight. Naveen Ul Haq is playing the first match for Quetta Gladiators in the PSL 2023. He has not played in the PSL yet because he was already part of another league in Afghanistan. Moreover, Naveen Ul Haq is an Afghanistan right-hand fast bowler who arrived in Pakistan three days ago. He will be playing for Quetta Gladiators in the rest of the scheduled matches in PSL season 8.
Naveen took two wickets against Lahore Qalandars as he dismissed Sam Billings and Hussain Talat. Just a reminder from the last match of Lahore Qalandars against Peshawar Zalmi, Sam batted spectacularly. So it was good for the Gladiators to take him out before he could start batting. Furthermore, he also dismissed Shaheen Shah Afridi by run-out.
Mohammad Nawaz also took two wickets including the wicket of David Wiese and Abdullah Shafique. He is beautifully bold Abdullah and caught and bowled Wiese. Gladiators showed great performance in bowling and fielding tonight, Umaid Asif also took two wickets including Fakhar Zaman’s wicket which proved to be very valuable. Naseem Shah, Odean Smith, and Mohammad Hafeez also took one wicket each.
