The opening pair of Multan Sultans including Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan started off very well. Shan Masood’s inning ended up scoring 51 including 6 fours and a big six off 31 balls with a strike rate of 161. On the other hand, Mohammad Rizwan kept the momentum going. Rizwan made fifty runs from 42 deliveries and later on his first century in his PSL career.
Rilee Russouw came in place of Shan Masood and played well. But he got out after making 29 runs on his 21st ball. However, Rizwan kept playing and scored 100 runs from just 60 balls. He was still not out at the end with 110 runs to his name. Moreover, in his inning tonight, he stroked 10 fours and 4 sixes to Karachi Kings. In the last 5 overs, Rizwan saved 73 runs for his team.
In the last over, Russouw went back to the dug by Mohammad Umar. Afterward, Pollard got to play only two balls. But Rizwan was outstanding on this night. His home crowd went crazy after watching him bat like this. His overall performance in this match was absolutely fabulous.

Karachi Kings came to bat like gangsters and started to hit boundaries from the first over. Matthew Wade and James Vince showed Multan Sultans their strength to hit the ball. James Vince made the fastest fifty of the Pakistan Super League from just 19 balls. Wade got out after scoring a decent 20 score.
Vince was later on run-out by Usama Mir because of the discoordination between him and Haider Ali. As soon as Vince hit the ball to his offside, he ran. But Haider Ali stopped and Vince was standing in the middle of the pitch. He tried to reach into the crease but could not do it. Hence, this blunder was the turning point for the Karachi Kings. Though Vince was very angry at Haider Ali for not running.
Vince’s inning ended with 75 runs off just 35 balls including 6 sixes and 7 fours with a strike rate of 220. Haider Ali did not bat as well after his bad decision of not running. Meanwhile, Shoaib Malik was also not able to score as the pressure was on them.
Under this pressure, he also got out. Ben Cutting also did his part by trying to hit but Pollard took his catch. However, Imad kept rooting for his team till the end.
